Fresh Milk vs Powdered Milk: A Comprehensive Health and Lifestyle Comparison

Introduction

Milk has been a cornerstone of human diets for centuries, celebrated for its richness in calcium, protein, and essential nutrients. But in today’s modern world, there’s an ongoing debate: Which is better fresh milk or powdered milk? This question isn’t just about nutrition; it’s also about convenience, lifestyle, and cost. Let’s dive deep into the details to help you make an informed choice that suits your health and lifestyle.

Understanding Fresh Milk

What is Fresh Milk?

Fresh milk refers to milk directly sourced from animals, typically cows, that has undergone pasteurization to ensure safety. It’s often consumed in liquid form and is a staple in many households worldwide.

Nutritional Profile of Fresh Milk

  • High in natural calcium
  • Contains essential vitamins like B12 and D
  • Rich in protein and healthy fats
  • Natural sugars such as lactose provide energy

Benefits of Fresh Milk

  1. Natural Nutrients: Fresh milk retains most of its natural nutrients because it undergoes minimal processing.
  2. Taste and Texture: Fresh milk has a creamy texture and a pure, rich flavor, making it a favorite for drinking and cooking.
  3. Health Support: It strengthens bones, supports muscle development, and boosts overall health.

Exploring Powdered Milk

What is Powdered Milk?

Powdered milk, also known as dried milk, is created by evaporating liquid milk until it becomes a dry powder. This process increases its shelf life without the need for refrigeration.

Nutritional Profile of Powdered Milk

  • Similar protein, calcium, and vitamin content to fresh milk
  • Fortified with additional nutrients like iron and vitamin D in some cases
  • Slightly reduced fat content due to processing

Benefits of Powdered Milk

  1. Extended Shelf Life: Powdered milk can be stored for months without spoiling.
  2. Convenience: It’s easy to transport and prepare, especially in areas with limited refrigeration.
  3. Affordability: Generally more cost-effective compared to fresh milk.

Nutritional Comparison: Fresh Milk vs Powdered Milk

When comparing fresh vs powdered milk, their nutritional content is surprisingly similar, but processing impacts certain aspects:

Health Benefits of Fresh Milk

Fresh milk boasts a wide range of benefits that make it a go-to choice for many health-conscious individuals:

  • Natural Nutrient Retention: Contains unaltered levels of vitamins and minerals, ideal for supporting bone density and overall vitality.
  • Digestive Health: Its probiotics support gut health, especially in unhomogenized forms.

Health Benefits of Powdered Milk

Powdered milk’s processing doesn’t eliminate its health benefits:

  • Fortification: Manufacturers often add vitamins and minerals, making it a nutrient-dense option.
  • Convenience for Travel: Perfect for long trips or areas with unstable refrigeration.

Lifestyle Considerations: Fresh Milk vs Powdered Milk

Storage and Shelf Life

One of the most significant factors in choosing between fresh and powdered milk is how they fit into your lifestyle in terms of storage and longevity:

several months or even years when stored properly in a cool, dry place.

Fresh Milk: Requires refrigeration and has a short shelf life, typically lasting 5–7 days after opening. It’s not ideal for areas with limited access to refrigeration.

Powdered Milk: Offers unmatched convenience with a shelf life of several months or even years when stored properly in a cool, dry place.

Which Milk is Safer?

Pasteurization in Fresh Milk

Pasteurization eliminates harmful bacteria in fresh milk, ensuring safety for consumption. However, it requires strict refrigeration to prevent spoilage.

Sterilization and Safety of Powdered Milk

Powdered milk undergoes high-temperature processing, which ensures a bacteria-free product. Its ability to remain stable without refrigeration adds an extra layer of safety in challenging conditions.

Choosing the Right Milk for Children

Nutritional Needs of Children

Children require milk rich in calcium, protein, and vitamins to support their growth and development. Fresh milk, due to its natural nutrient profile, is often recommended.

How Each Type Supports Growth

  • Fresh Milk: Provides essential nutrients in their most natural form, making it ideal for growing bones and muscles.
  • Powdered Milk: Often fortified with additional nutrients like iron and vitamin A, which can be beneficial in areas where deficiencies are common.

Lactose Intolerance and Dairy Alternatives

fresh and powdered milk contain lactose, which can be problematic for individuals with lactose intolerance. While lactose-free options exist for fresh milk, they are less common in powdered forms.

Alternatives for Sensitive Individuals

For those unable to consume either, plant-based alternatives like almond, soy, or oat milk provide comparable nutritional benefits without the lactose.

Economic Factors in Milk Selection

Budget-Friendly Options

  • Fresh Milk: Typically more expensive due to shorter shelf life and refrigeration requirements.
  • Powdered Milk: More affordable in the long run, especially in bulk, and reduces waste from spoilage.

Conclusion

The choice between fresh milk and powdered milk ultimately depends on your health goals, lifestyle, and environmental concerns. Fresh milk offers a natural, nutrient-rich option for those who prioritize taste and immediate consumption. Powdered milk, on the other hand, stands out for its convenience, affordability, and extended shelf life. Both have their unique benefits, ensuring there’s an option for everyone.

AI in Newsrooms: Is Journalism Being Automated in 2025?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a futuristic concept in journalism. In 2025, AI systems are embedded in every stage of the news production process—from writing financial briefs to identifying trending topics, editing videos, translating content, and even fact-checking in real-time. The automation of newsroom workflows has brought speed, scale, and cost-efficiency—but it has also sparked debates about authenticity, accuracy, and the role of human journalists in a data-driven world.

This article explores how AI is being used in journalism today, the benefits and concerns of automated reporting, ethical challenges, real-world case studies, and what lies ahead for the future of media and storytelling.

1. The Evolution of AI in Journalism

AI in journalism started with basic automation—auto-generating sports scores or financial summaries. In 2025, it has evolved into more sophisticated functions such as:

  • Natural Language Generation (NLG): Creating full-length articles
  • Sentiment Analysis: Understanding reader reactions
  • Predictive Analytics: Forecasting news interest and virality
  • Computer Vision: Analyzing images and videos for context
  • Speech-to-Text & Multilingual Translation: Expanding accessibility

News agencies like Reuters, AP, and BBC are now relying on AI for producing thousands of data-heavy reports each month.

2. Tools and Technologies Powering AI Newsrooms

2.1. Writing and Content Creation

  • Wordsmith by Automated Insights: Used for generating financial stories and summaries.
  • OpenAI’s GPT Models: Employed for article drafts, headlines, and social media content.
  • Bloomberg’s Cyborg: Automatically generates earnings reports.

2.2. Fact-Checking and Content Moderation

  • Full Fact AI: Detects claims that need verification.
  • Google Jigsaw’s Perspective API: Identifies harmful content or hate speech.

2.3. Multimedia Enhancement

  • Wibbitz and Lumen5: Convert text into short-form videos
  • Descript: Edits podcasts and videos using text-based AI controls

2.4. Trend Analysis and SEO Optimization

  • Chartbeat and Parse.ly: Analyze reader behavior and optimize headlines
  • BuzzSumo AI: Finds trending topics and competitive angles

3. Benefits of AI in Newsrooms

3.1. Increased Speed and Efficiency

AI can create breaking news updates in seconds, providing a competitive edge in fast-moving situations. For example, AP’s use of Wordsmith allows it to produce over 3,000 quarterly earnings stories—up from just a few hundred manually.

3.2. Cost Reduction

Automating repetitive tasks like transcriptions, editing, and even reporting reduces the need for large teams, saving media houses money, especially in a challenging ad-driven economy.

3.3. Content Personalization

AI algorithms help tailor newsfeeds based on reader behavior, improving engagement. Publishers use recommendation engines to push relevant articles, increasing time-on-site and ad revenue.

3.4. Multilingual Accessibility

AI-powered translators break down language barriers, allowing global publications to reach wider audiences.

4. Ethical Concerns and Limitations

4.1. Accuracy and Accountability

AI-generated content can include factual errors or misleading information. Without human oversight, even minor inaccuracies can snowball into misinformation.

4.2. Bias and Fairness

AI systems trained on biased data can reinforce stereotypes. In journalism, this can lead to uneven representation or unintentional discrimination in coverage.

4.3. Loss of Human Touch

Readers still value storytelling with emotional depth, nuance, and cultural insight—areas where AI currently underperforms.

4.4. Job Displacement

The increased reliance on automation raises concerns about employment in journalism. While AI augments workflows, it also reduces the need for entry-level roles.

5. Case Studies of AI in Journalism

5.1. The Associated Press (AP)

AP was one of the first to adopt automation in news production. Their use of Automated Insights’ Wordsmith platform has increased story output by over 10x, with human editors providing final checks.

5.2. The Washington Post

Their proprietary AI tool, Heliograf, covers local sports scores, elections, and Olympics results. It also provides quick updates during crises.

5.3. China’s Xinhua News Agency

Famous for introducing AI-powered virtual news anchors, Xinhua is pushing the boundaries of robotic journalism in both delivery and format.

5.4. The Guardian

Experimented with GPT-3 to write op-eds, prompting transparent debates about human vs. machine voice in opinion writing.

6. AI in Investigative Journalism and Data Reporting

While AI excels at surface-level reporting, it also assists investigative journalists by:

  • Sifting through large datasets for patterns and anomalies
  • Transcribing and analyzing interviews
  • Organizing leaked documents for easier navigation

Examples include the use of machine learning in the Panama Papers investigation to extract actionable links from massive amounts of data.

7. The Role of Human Journalists in 2025

AI may handle volume and structure, but journalists remain essential for:

  • Editorial judgment
  • Investigative depth
  • Ethical framing
  • Cultural context

Many organizations are redefining journalist roles as “content strategists,” “AI trainers,” and “verification editors” who oversee automated outputs.

8. The Future Outlook: Coexistence or Takeover?

In 2025, the trend points toward collaboration, not replacement. AI will continue to handle repetitive or data-driven content, freeing human reporters for high-value tasks.

However, regulation will be critical. Transparency in AI-generated content, robust fact-checking protocols, and ethical standards must evolve with technology.

Future developments may include:

  • More advanced AI-human writing partnerships
  • Personalized news articles written in real-time based on reader profiles
  • Blockchain-based journalism to verify content authenticity

9. AI and Misinformation: Fighting Fire with Fire

One of the most promising and controversial applications of AI in journalism is in the battle against misinformation. While social media and online platforms have amplified the spread of fake news, AI is being used to fight back. Tools such as Google’s Fact Check Explorer, Facebook’s AI content moderation system, and independent organizations like NewsGuard use machine learning to:

  • Flag potentially misleading content
  • Detect coordinated bot-driven campaigns
  • Analyze the credibility of news sources in real time

However, even these systems are not foolproof. AI moderation can mislabel satire or fail to catch subtle disinformation campaigns, underscoring the continued need for human oversight.

10. Public Perception of AI-Generated News

Surveys in 2025 show a mixed response from the public regarding AI-generated journalism. While younger audiences are more open to automated news if it’s transparent and accurate, older readers express concern about credibility and bias. A Reuters Institute study found that:

  • 62% of Gen Z readers trust AI-generated headlines
  • 49% of Boomers prefer human-written stories, especially for politics and opinion pieces

This split signals that while AI may dominate production, trust still hinges on transparency and authenticity.

11. The Rise of AI in Pakistani Newsrooms

In Pakistan, leading outlets like Dawn, ARY News, and The Express Tribune are experimenting with AI for audience analytics, automated live sports commentary, and social media scheduling. Urdu language support has improved, with startups like RoboMuqabla offering AI-powered local news in regional dialects.

Challenges remain, including:

  • Low public awareness of AI tools
  • Limited tech funding for media innovation
  • Language model training data limitations for Urdu and regional languages

Yet, Pakistani journalists are leveraging AI for investigative research, social media monitoring, and mobile journalism, especially in digital-first platforms like Independent Urdu and Samaa Digital.

12. Freelance Journalists and Media Startups: Leveling the Playing Field

Freelancers and small media outlets benefit from AI tools that level the playing field with major news organizations. Tools like:

  • Jasper AI for writing assistance
  • Otter.ai for instant transcription
  • Canva Pro with AI-generated visuals

…enable solo journalists to:

  • Publish professional-quality stories quickly
  • Enhance SEO and visual appeal
  • Compete for online visibility and monetization

Many independent journalists use these tools not just for content creation, but also for audience engagement, analytics, and revenue generation.

Conclusion

AI is redefining journalism in 2025—boosting productivity, democratizing content creation, and transforming the reader experience. While automation brings undeniable benefits, the essence of journalism—truth-seeking, accountability, and empathy—still requires a human hand.

As AI continues to evolve, the challenge will be to maintain editorial integrity while embracing innovation. The newsrooms that will thrive are those that strike the right balance between technology and humanity.

Climate Change and Sustainability in 2025: Global Progress, Challenges, and the Road Ahead

Climate change is no longer a looming threat—it is a present-day crisis affecting every continent, country, and community. As we navigate through 2025, the urgency to transition to sustainable systems has never been more critical. Rising global temperatures, melting ice caps, erratic weather patterns, and environmental degradation are stark reminders that time is running out. Zoya – The Light After Twilight

“Sometimes life takes you into darkness not to drown you, but to remind you how fiercely you can shine.”

Chapter 1: The Spark Before the Storm

Zoya was born to lead — not loudly, but with grace. Her gentle nature wrapped her family in comfort. As the eldest of four siblings, she was always the one who smoothed over fights, fixed broken things, and reminded her brothers to believe in themselves. Her parents often said, “Zoya doesn’t just grow flowers, she grows people.”

University gave her wings. Among voltage equations and circuit diagrams, Zoya felt truly alive. Her love for learning lit up her days, and her evenings were filled with joyful chatter with her best friend, Hira.

“Zoya, do you ever get scared of the future?” Hira asked one afternoon, the sun turning her notebook golden.

“Only if I forget who I am,” Zoya smiled. “We’re meant for more than fear.”

That’s how she lived — full of purpose, with dreams stitched into the corners of her imagination.

Chapter 2: The Turn in the Road

Just after graduation, the rhythm of her life changed. Her mother came to her room, voice soft and eyes careful.

“Zoya beta, your Aunt’s son… Adeel. He’s interested. Think about it.”

Zoya looked down, her fingers pausing mid-doodle in her notebook. Marriage? She had imagined travel, a job in tech, maybe writing a book one day — not this.

“Ammi, I’m not saying no,” she murmured. “I’m just… not ready to say yes.”

But over time, Adeel’s quiet presence began to calm her doubts. He didn’t charm her with grand words, but he listened, and that mattered more.

“I don’t need you to say yes today,” Adeel told her when they met. “Just know that I’ll wait for the real answer — not the polite one.”

That sentence stayed with her. It wasn’t just kind — it was safe. And for the first time, Zoya let herself believe that maybe — just maybe — dreams and companionship could walk together.

Chapter 3: A Mother’s World

Married life was gentle, even sweet. They built a life of quiet understanding, of soft check-in calls and warm glances across family dinners.

When Zoya found out she was pregnant, joy bubbled up in her like a secret song. But it wasn’t easy. Adeel’s work kept him away in another city. While he tried to call every night, she faced most of the pregnancy alone — the exhaustion, the fear, the hospital visits, and the questions she didn’t always have answers for.

At night, she would hold her belly and whisper,

“We’re a team, you and I. And I’ll get us through this.”

She found strength in her baby’s tiny movements, and when Hadi was born — wide-eyed and sleepy — he fit in her arms like he had always belonged.

Motherhood consumed her. Her world shrank to soft lullabies, burp cloths, and stolen naps. And still, in that bubble of exhaustion, she found peace. Love. A kind of joy that came from giving without measure.

Chapter 4: A Town Called Peace

After the birth of Hadi, life shifted again — this time with a promise of calm.

Adeel’s new posting took them to his town— a slower-paced city filled with warm evenings, wide streets, and kind neighbors who waved from balconies. It was not the place Zoya had grown up in, but something about it felt… right. Like fresh air after a storm.

The house they moved into wasn’t big, but it was theirs. Zoya picked soft curtains, repainted the walls herself, and placed plants by every window. She turned the dining area into a small reading nook and taped Hadi’s drawings to the refrigerator like masterpieces.

In the early days, everything was new. New neighbors. New routines. New recipes. But with Adeel beside her and Hadi clinging to her like her shadow, she built a life — brick by brick, meal by meal, memory by memory.

“Do you miss home?” Adeel asked one night, as they sipped chai on the rooftop, the stars watching in silence.

“Sometimes,” she smiled, “but this feels like home now. You and Hadi— that’s home.”

She found joy in the simplest things — baking cookies with Hadi on Sundays, planting marigolds in the yard, and waiting for Adeel’s Car horn at sunset.

Hadi grew fast — full of questions, giggles, and charm. Zoya would watch him line up toy soldiers, pretend to fly paper rockets, and narrate wild stories with a sparkle in his eye. Sometimes she saw herself in him — the imagination, the gentle nature, the quiet depth.

**“Mom,” he said one afternoon while drawing, “when I grow up, I want to make happy houses for everyone.”

“You already made one,” Zoya whispered, brushing his cheek. “Ours.”

She also began connecting with other women in the neighborhood — some were teachers, some housewives, a few working moms. Over tea and shared burdens, they formed a sisterhood — swapping stories, food, and support. Zoya felt seen.

Adeel, though still away often for work, always made time for them. When he was home, they went on small family drives, picnics by the river, and ice cream stops that turned into laughter-filled adventures.

There were no grand events in those years, but in the ordinary rhythm, Zoya found something rare: peace.

She didn’t know what storms lay ahead. She didn’t know that the happiness she nurtured would one day be tested. But in that chapter of her life — those four to five years — Zoya lived fully.

She wasn’t chasing anything. She wasn’t fighting anything.
She was just being — and that, in itself, was everything.

“Maybe life doesn’t need to be loud to be meaningful,” she wrote in her journal.
“Sometimes, joy whispers — and you only need to listen.”

Chapter 5: The Pain You Don’t See

Time passed, and Zoya found her rhythm. Hadi grew strong and funny, and their home was warm with his giggles and messes. After five happy years, when she found out she was pregnant again, her heart soared.

She imagined tiny socks. Sibling hugs. Family pictures with matching clothes. But life had another twist.

“Your baby’s not developing normally,” the doctor said, her voice careful.

Zoya’s ears rang. She stared at the monitor, her body frozen.

“It’s… severe. There are multiple complications.”

In the days that followed, the world became silent. She didn’t talk much. She’d sit by Hadi’s bed while he slept, tears sliding down her face without a sound.

“Why me?” she whispered one night, curled on the floor of the bathroom.

“Because even pain picks the strongest,” her inner voice replied.

But strength didn’t stop her from breaking. The decision to terminate was one that shattered her.

She held her belly one last time, whispering goodbye. No one tells you how quiet your body feels after that.

Chapter 6: When the Storm Has No Name

At first, she thought she was grieving. But weeks turned into months, and the grief didn’t ease. It evolved — into something unrecognizable.

She’d feel invincible one morning — full of plans, cleaning everything, talking fast, starting five new projects at once. And then, without warning, she’d fall into silence. For days.

She stopped answering calls. Stopped smiling. Stopped cooking.

One day, while brushing Hadi’s hair, she forgot how to finish the braid. She stared at her hands in confusion. She put the brush down and walked away.

Her parents intervened. Her voice trembled when she first heard the diagnosis.

“Bipolar II Disorder.”

She had to ask it aloud. “Does this mean I’m broken?”

“No,” her therapist replied. “It means your brain moves through storms. But storms pass. And we’ll teach you how to find the shore.”

Chapter 7: Healing in Pieces

Recovery wasn’t beautiful. It was hard. Some days, the medication numbed her. Other days, therapy cracked her open — not gently, but like a mirror shattering after holding too much reflection.

With Adeel working in another city, Zoya returned to her mother’s home for a while — a decision born out of necessity, not weakness. She needed care, stability, a place to fall apart without shame.

And her family welcomed her with arms wide and hearts open.

Her mother stayed up with her during the sleepless nights, silently placing a hand on her head when words failed. Her father would quietly take Hadi for long walks, giving Zoya space to rest or cry without interruption.

Her three brothers — once the noisy boys she raised — became her pillars. They didn’t always understand her disorder, but they tried. They researched it. Asked questions. Sat with her when she was silent and stayed on call when her panic attacks crept in.

Their wives — her sisters by bond — brought warmth with their gentle conversations, chai breaks, and jokes that slowly brought Zoya’s smile back. They didn’t judge her moods or her quiet spells. They simply stayed.

“Don’t worry about Hadi,” one bhabhi said. “He’s our baby too.”

“And you,” her brother added, “are still our strongest sister — just healing in a different way.”

Zoya missed Adeel terribly. They spoke through video calls — sometimes with tears, other times with soft smiles.

“I wish I could be there every day,” he said once.

“You are,” she replied, holding Hadi’s hand. “Every time I choose to keep going, it’s for us.”

She began to find small joys again — evening candles on her mother’s balcony, the smell of freshly baked cake made by her bhabhi, and the way Hadi’s eyelashes fluttered when he fell asleep in her lap, warm and safe.

One evening, Hadi tiptoed into the room as Zoya sat painting quietly by the window.

“What are you painting, Mom?” he asked.

“My feelings,” she smiled softly. “Some of them are heavy… so I’m turning them into colors.”

She had cried enough. Now, slowly, she was learning to laugh again — not the forced, polite kind, but a deep, real laugh that came from the belly, not the face.

That laugh returned during late-night pizza parties with her brothers, while giggling with her bhabhi, or when Hadi surprised her with a stories about monsters.

Zoya wasn’t just healing — she was being carried by the love she once gave, now returned tenfold.

“I thought I was alone in this,” she wrote in her journal, “but my family held me when I couldn’t hold myself. They loved me not in spite of my storm, but through it.”

And slowly, piece by piece, Zoya came back — not as the person she used to be, but as someone even more whole.

Chapter 8: The Woman Who Returned

Zoya made a promise to herself:
No more pretending. No more silence. No more waiting to feel “normal.”

She started writing again. She made a list:

  • A solo trip (even if just to the next city).
  • Learn to swim.
  • A picnic under the stars.
  • Enjoy Music.
  • Restart the Career.

One day, she and Hadisat under a blanket fort.

“Mom, are you still sad?”

Zoya smiled, brushing his hair aside.

“Sometimes. But now I know sadness doesn’t stay forever.”

“Like clouds?” he asked.

“Exactly like clouds,” she whispered. “They come. But the sun is always behind them.”

She started to laugh again — a deep, real laugh that came from the belly, not the face.

Epilogue: Her Light, Her Story

Now, years later, Zoya still takes her medicine. She still has hard days. But she also dances in the kitchen again. She surprises Hadi with homemade burgers. She sends Adeel voice notes full of laughter. And every morning, she opens the window to let the light in.

One evening, she and Adeel sat quietly on the rooftop.

“You’re still the strongest person I know,” he said.

“No,” she replied, her voice steady. “I’m just someone who finally chose to live — fully, honestly, and with all my cracks.”

She is Zoya.
Not a victim. Not broken.
But a storyteller of her own healing.

“Yes, life didn’t go exactly as planned. But it taught me something powerful: Even after twilight… there’s always light — and now, I carry it within me.”

Felony Fun

Chapter 1

“SANITY”

Its been a while since… the incident. I found this in the old giftshop, along with a toy flashlight to see better. Just this morning Trixy cut the power to the B wing; it’s almost impossible to see. The park is indoors, so that means no daylight. This flashlight twill last a while; the only problem is:  Whenever I use it, it makes a huge racket by playing the theme song at full blast. So that attracts Trixy, So using it might as well be inviting Trixy for lunch; that’s why I try to use it as little as possible. I get my food by sneaking into the snack shack; its hard surviving on some moldy crisps and juice that tastes like medicine for stomach aches, but I manage to do it. I’ve barley got a chance to sleep because of Trixy, or whatever you call that thing; its basically a giant caterpillar with a puppy dog face, With all the time I’ve spent here, I learned a thing or two about this abomination. First of all, do NOT go near her when she’s smiling. That means she’s ready to attack. If she’s whimpering or has a sad face go ahead, but do not take your eyes off her. Even if you take you’re eyes off her for even a second, well… long story short, you’re dead. And here’s what I know about her backstory: She was pretty much the mascot of the park, one day an electrical malfunction put an end to her glory days, That’s pretty much all I know.

And the reason why I’m here is because I used to work for the park staff, then some staff members went missing—the nightshift staff, to be exact. Nobody knew what they did in the nightshifts. It was confidential. But what I know is that they worked in the orphanage wing, also known as “Home Sweet Home”, I don’t know much about that section. Then one day, all the mascots went rogue; they started killing everyone, I hid in the storage room. When I got out, it was horrid. Blood and bodies everywhere; the mascots took the bodies underground and ate them. It’s been about a month and a half since that.

Day 46

I’m hiding in one of the tubes of one of the slides right now. I went out to find some batteries for my flashlight. I tried to get them from one of the trixy dolls, where Trixy was waiting for me. She grabbed ahold of my leg with her mouth. I kicked her in the eyeball and ran. She’s probably still after me; I need a weapon. Maybe I can get a bat.

Sorry about that; Trixy caught up with me. I barely escaped with my life. Oh ,yeah..  I was talking about a weapon; maybe I could get a baseball bat from the sports section, and stick some nails in it, That could be a pretty decent Idea, I could get nails from the art and crafts station, . It’s a pretty solid plan, but first I need batteries. I got in the office of one of the high ranking seniors; there was a tranquilizer dart in there, I don’t know why he had that, but, who cares? I pocketed it. Might be useful later on…   Im scrabbling my brain around to figure out a way to get rid of her, but there aren’t any easy ways t get rid of a 25 foot long mechanical worm, guess I  have to keep thinking.

Ive been thinking,  if there’s only one one mascot for the B wing, maybe, there are different mascots for each individual wing, there are four wings, A, B, C, and D wing, im in the B wing, so if I get rid of Trixy, I’ll still have 3 more mascots to kill, this is gonna be a bit tricky. That’s pretty much all for today.

Day 47

Well, today I almost killed Trixy, and I had to sacrifice my flashlight for it, I lured Trixy under a box of crates, I turned on my flashlight and threw it on the floor, and sure enough, It made a huge racket and lured Trixy towards it, when she came under me, I pushed the heavy crate onto her, and smashed her  forehead into two, I thought that did it, but, I was wrong, as soon as I came down the stairs, she started wiggling and swerving around, I ran to the playhouse, and Trixy was furious …  she chased me breaking everything around her, I got inside an office and shut and barricaded the door behind me, Trixy was pounding on the door, I held my breath until she went away ,and eventually, she did. While getting up I pulled the knob on one of the doors, and it fell out onto the floor, I found a pretty interesting file. I stapled it to the journal.

Dear Mr. Catthew,
The sick girl, [Test 908,] Trixy, is a success, we successfully did the surgery, the organs are in stable condition, and the vocal cords have been removed and modified, Shall we put her on set?

Dear Mr. Catthew,
The sick girl, [Test 908,] Trixy, is a success, we successfully did the surgery, the organs are in stable condition, and the vocal cords have been removed and modified, Shall we put her on set?
                                                                    Dr. Zieke

Oh crap, Trixy’s inside

I finally did it, she’s dead, when she got in, she rammed me into a wall, I got the tranquilizer from my pocket, and stuck it into the wound in her forehead, she died of the pain, and I laid down against the wall, near the corpse. I ripped out her tooth from my chest, and that’s the last thing I remembered before I blacked out, when I woke up, I was really thirsty, I found a vending machine, with a water bottle in it, I smashed the glass with my baseball bat, and drank it, then I went to the barricade that blocked off the A wing, and started breaking the wooden planks that blocked it off………

Chapter 2

“Mentality”

I forgot to mention my name, you probably know it from the diary’s cover, but I i need to fill up these pages, my name is Tyler Hombrown, Im in my depressing 20’s, burning out, I was about to get my drivers license after my shift at the park, but unfortunately for me, that was the same day, the incident… Im not sure where I am, I worked in the B wing, and now, Im in the C wing. I knew the B wing like the back of my hand, but the C wing, not so much.

The sick girl, [Test 908,] Trixy, is a success, we successfully did the surgery, the organs are in stable condition, and the vocal cords have been removed and modified, Shall we put her on set?

I’m in the C wing right know, I still cant believe I did it. But, I better not get to big for my britches. Im trying to find a map o the park to know this place better, when I was heading to the snack shack to get some food, but then some little spider plushes started biting my knees, and I lost balance, they were nibbling the damn skin off my forearm, I limped over to the slides. I lured the spiders into a toybox, when they all got inside it, I shut it and locked it. I went to the toy shop, and found a T-shirt, I ripped off a piece of it and fashioned myself a bandage, now I needed an anti-bacterial bottle. I looked around and eventually.. I found a nurse station, and I wish I found this earlier, I could have got an actual bandage, so that was stupid of me. I took off my old bandage and rubbed some anti-bacterial fluid on my leg, and searched for a new bandage. I didn’t find any, so I went to the surgical room, and it was horrid, the patients on the beds were crushed, and the doctors were amputated, it was like someone painted the room bright red, in the middle there was a doctor hanging from a chain, split in two. He started mumbling, and coughing, he was ALIVE. Before I could react to any of this, a bunch of spider dolls crawled inside him, he got off the chains and started chasing me, I jumped inside in a giant ballpit, I went deep inside it. He grabbed my left ankle, I kicked him off, I got out, and he was far behind me, I saw a lever to lower the giant claw, I pulled it, and when he came inside the net, I pulled the big blue button to raise it up. He was stuck, and I came under the crane, a note fell out of his coat’s pocket, I grabbed it and read it over, and to be honest… I think I got something in my eyes

Trixy was a little girl, god dammit…

But let me say in my defence, she did attack me first. Now I know

What they did in the nightshifts, they experimented on orphans.

The cancer is too dominant, im afraid. We have to do the surgery, We are making her into ‘ Trixy’,

                                                                     Dr. Zieke

The Mystery Maker: Hadi and the Secret Pages

Hadi was no ordinary 10-year-old. While other kids ran wild on the playground, kicking footballs and climbing jungle gyms, Hadi’s world was filled with monsters, secret maps, hidden codes, and thrilling adventures — all taking shape in the pages of his sketchbooks and comic journals.

He lived in a cozy, colorful house with his grandmother and grandfather, surrounded by the laughter of his maternal aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was a full house, but Hadi loved it that way. There was always something happening — a new story to listen to, a new game to play, and of course, new snacks to munch on. Nothing made Hadi happier than a plate of spicy biryani or cheesy macaroni while scribbling his next comic panel.

The Dreamer with a Pen

While some kids dreamed of being astronauts or pop stars, Hadi’s dreams changed like scenes in a movie. One day, he’d see himself as a famous author at a comic convention, signing books titled The Haunted Mirror or The Secret of the Snake Island. The next day, he’d imagine himself wearing a white chef’s hat, flipping gourmet burgers in a kitchen filled with the smell of sizzling fries. And sometimes, when he was exploring his grandfather’s old books about history and heroes, he pictured himself as a brave army man — charging into danger to protect the country with courage and cleverness.

But no matter which dream he followed on a particular day, there was one thing Hadi always loved: weapons. Not the scary kind — but the cool, heroic ones like swords from ancient times, spy gadgets, or laser blasters from his favorite sci-fi games. He could spend hours drawing futuristic weapons and creating secret spy missions in his mind.

The Case of the Disappearing Pages

One rainy afternoon, while the thunder growled outside and the smell of crispy potato cutlets filled the house, Hadi was in his room, finishing the final pages of his newest comic: The Curse of the Creepy Carnival. It was a mix of horror, mystery, and adventure — just the way he liked it.

But when he returned from dinner — a delicious pizza night with his cousins — something strange had happened. Five pages were missing.

Hadi blinked. Then searched under his bed. Then inside his drawer. Nothing.

“Did anyone come into my room?” he asked his cousin Arham.

“Nope,” Arham said, munching on the last slice of pizza. “Maybe one of your characters took them!”

That night, Hadi couldn’t sleep. He kept thinking about who — or what — could have taken those pages. So he did what every brave hero in his comics would do — he became a detective.

Armed with a flashlight, a notebook, and a fake mustache made of cotton, Detective Hadi tiptoed through the house. He checked his cousins’ rooms, the kitchen (and grabbed a leftover burger while he was there), and even the storeroom where old toys and memories lived.

Finally, he reached his grandfather’s study — a room filled with books, maps, and quiet stories.

And there, under a stack of old newspapers, were his missing comic pages… with notes written on them in neat handwriting.

“You have talent,” the note said. “Keep writing.”

Hadi’s eyes lit up. It was his Maternal Aunt. The wise lady had read his comic and left feedback on each page. “Try making the villain even creepier,” one note said. “Add more suspense here,” another said.

Hadi smiled the biggest smile ever. Not only was his comic safe, but someone truly believed in his stories.

Author, Cook, Hero — Why Not All?

The next morning, Hadi made breakfast with his mother— scrambled eggs and toast — and told her everything.

“You can be anything you want, Hadi,” she said, patting his head. “Even all of them at once.”

So, Hadi added a new page to his journal titled: Future Plans:

  1. Write a bestselling comic book.
  2. Win a cooking contest with my spicy burger recipe.
  3. Save the world in my army uniform (and design my own superhero weapon).
  4. Never stop imagining.

And as the sun rose higher, Hadi picked up his pen, his comic pages, and a fresh slice of potato pie. His story was just beginning — and the world better be ready for it.

The Rise of Sustainable Tourism: Trends, Practices, and What to Expect in 2025

Sustainable tourism is no longer a niche concept—it’s a global movement. With climate change, overtourism, and cultural degradation posing serious challenges to the travel industry, travelers, governments, and businesses are shifting toward sustainable models. As we step into 2025, tourism must balance economic benefits with ecological preservation and cultural respect.

This article explores the evolving landscape of sustainable tourism in 2025 and 2026: from major trends and eco-conscious traveler behavior to policy developments and destination strategies. We also provide practical steps for travelers and industry professionals to contribute to a more responsible and regenerative tourism economy.

Sustainable tourism refers to travel that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. It includes economic viability, social equity, and environmental responsibility. The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) defines it as tourism that “takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts.”

Key principles include:

  • Conserving natural resources and biodiversity
  • Supporting local economies
  • Preserving cultural heritage
  • Minimizing waste and pollution
  • Fostering authentic visitor experiences

Sustainable tourism extends beyond individual behavior—it involves businesses, policy makers, and communities working in tandem to protect the integrity and identity of the places being visited.

Tourism 2025-2026

Why Sustainable Tourism is Booming in 2025

1. Climate Awareness Among Travelers

Climate change is more visible than ever: wildfires, rising seas, floods, and extreme weather events have reshaped perceptions. Modern travelers are looking to minimize their carbon footprint, support eco-certified businesses, and avoid contributing to the environmental degradation of sensitive regions.

Travel booking platforms like Expedia and Booking.com have introduced carbon filters, allowing users to compare accommodations and transport based on their environmental impact. This new awareness is reshaping demand.

2. Post-Pandemic Shifts

The COVID-19 pandemic made travelers value open spaces, slower travel, and mindful experiences. These preferences have grown into long-term habits, increasing demand for eco-lodges, nature-based activities, and less-crowded destinations.

Domestic and regional tourism has also flourished, reducing the environmental burden of long-haul flights and revitalizing local economies. Wellness retreats and outdoor escapes are trending across demographics.

3. Regulatory Pressure

Governments and tourism boards are enacting stricter regulations to manage overtourism, reduce emissions, and protect cultural assets. Cities like Venice have implemented visitor caps, while national parks require advanced bookings.

The European Union introduced new emissions tracking standards for the airline industry, while countries like Bhutan have maintained sustainable development fees to manage tourist inflow.

4. Technological Innovations

AI, blockchain, and smart sensors are helping destinations monitor environmental impacts in real-time, optimize resources, and improve visitor experiences without compromising sustainability goals.

Blockchain is also being used to validate eco-certifications and ensure transparency in carbon offset programs, reducing greenwashing risks.

Key Trends Shaping Sustainable Tourism in 2025

1. Regenerative Travel

Going beyond “do no harm,” regenerative tourism seeks to leave destinations better than they were found. This includes rebuilding coral reefs, supporting reforestation, or participating in local community development.

Programs like “plant a tree per trip” or “volunteer with locals” are becoming standard offerings by responsible tour operators.

2. Slow Travel Movement

Slow travel emphasizes immersion over ticking off bucket-list spots. Travelers spend more time in fewer locations, travel by train or bike, and engage deeply with local communities.

Rail passes and scenic biking routes are gaining popularity across Europe and Asia. Many travelers are also exploring pilgrimage trails or historical walking routes.

3. Digital Nomad Integration

As remote work continues, destinations are crafting long-term residency programs for digital nomads. These programs include sustainability pledges and encourage local economic participation beyond tourism.

Countries like Portugal, Estonia, and Indonesia now offer digital nomad visas with sustainability education as part of their welcome kits.

4. Green Certifications and Transparency

Labels like Green Key, EarthCheck, and LEED certifications are becoming essential. Travelers increasingly seek transparency on how their accommodation or tour operator impacts the environment and community.

Some properties now display real-time water and energy usage, or offer sustainability reports as part of their check-in process.

5. Carbon Budgeting for Travelers

Travelers are calculating and offsetting emissions. Apps and platforms help track carbon footprints and recommend sustainable alternatives or donations to offset projects.

Case Studies: Destinations Leading the Way

1. Costa Rica

A global leader in ecotourism, Costa Rica has set aside over 25% of its land for conservation. The country promotes renewable energy, wildlife protection, and community-based tourism.

Tourists can participate in conservation projects like turtle nesting or rainforest regeneration, gaining meaningful experiences.

2. Slovenia

Recognized as one of the greenest countries in the world, Slovenia offers sustainable experiences from eco-certified accommodations to local culinary trails.

Its capital, Ljubljana, is car-free in the city center and boasts high recycling rates and green transportation options.

3. New Zealand

With its “Tiaki Promise,” New Zealand invites travelers to act as guardians of its natural and cultural treasures. Sustainable itineraries are offered through partnerships with Maori communities and eco operators.

Adventure tourism, often high-impact, is now paired with conservation education to encourage long-term thinking.

4. Bhutan

Bhutan’s high-value, low-impact tourism policy maintains exclusivity and supports environmental and cultural preservation. Tourists must pay a sustainable development fee, which funds education and conservation.

The country remains carbon negative, providing a strong model for sustainable tourism.

How the Tourism Industry is Adapting

1. Sustainable Infrastructure

Hotels are implementing solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and waste management systems. Architects are focusing on low-impact structures using local materials.

Eco-resorts are also investing in on-site gardens, composting toilets, and wildlife-friendly lighting.

2. Local Supply Chains

Hotels and restaurants are prioritizing local suppliers for food, furniture, and amenities, reducing emissions and supporting local artisans and farmers.

Farm-to-table dining and cultural storytelling through cuisine are being emphasized in travel packages.

3. Community Partnerships

Tour operators are collaborating with local NGOs, schools, and entrepreneurs to offer authentic and mutually beneficial experiences.

For example, travelers might participate in basket weaving or local music workshops, providing income to artisans and preserving traditions.

4. Green Transportation

Electric buses, bike-sharing programs, and pedestrian-friendly urban planning are reshaping transportation options for tourists.

Rail tourism is resurging, and night trains across Europe are gaining popularity for long-distance travel.

Tips for Travelers: Practicing Sustainable Tourism in 2025

  • Choose direct flights and offset carbon emissions
  • Stay in locally owned, certified accommodations
  • Pack reusable bottles, utensils, and bags
  • Support local guides, artisans, and food vendors
  • Respect cultural norms and sacred sites
  • Avoid single-use plastics and excessive packaging
  • Volunteer or contribute to local sustainability projects
  • Research destination sustainability ratings before booking
  • Avoid activities that exploit animals or damage ecosystems
  • Choose low-impact tours and experiences

Challenges and Controversies

  • Greenwashing: Some companies make misleading sustainability claims. Travelers must vet providers carefully.
  • Economic Inequality: In some cases, profits from tourism don’t benefit local residents. Revenue leakage to international corporations remains an issue.
  • Overtourism Rebounds: Popular destinations still risk being overwhelmed if visitor numbers aren’t carefully managed. Cities like Barcelona and Amsterdam continue battling crowds.
  • Data Privacy: Tech-driven solutions to monitor tourism can infringe on privacy rights if not regulated properly. Destination surveillance tools must be transparent and ethical.

The Future of Tourism: A Call to Action

As the climate crisis intensifies and globalization accelerates, sustainable tourism will be not just a choice, but a necessity. Everyone—from travelers to businesses to governments—plays a role in shaping a tourism model that is equitable, responsible, and regenerative.

Tourism has the power to preserve what is beautiful and sacred, but only if managed wisely. In 2025 and beyond, the travel industry must move beyond passive sustainability into proactive responsibility. That includes policies that limit damage, strategies that promote restoration, and partnerships that build economic and social resilience.

Educational initiatives and awareness campaigns must also increase, helping tourists understand their roles and responsibilities. Industry-wide collaboration, global standards, and community empowerment are essential.

In the end, travel is about connection—connection to people, places, and cultures. If nurtured with care, sustainable tourism can become a bridge between conservation and development, tradition and progress.
