The Miserable Incident of My Life
Incident Story of Dr. Saad Parvez
We must overcome obstacles at every stage of our lives. Each time, there are new obstacles to overcome. Every single thing on this planet is attempting to mould us. It actually depends on the individual. How they deal with their issues. Do they go head-to-head with them? Or do they simply wait for them to vanish?
I attempted both. Because, despite the fact that my life is currently really nice. It wasn’t always like this. In my life, I’ve had a lot of difficulties. It’s been through a lot of bad weather. And I haven’t always escaped with my life intact. For me, some situations were incredibly challenging. But I didn’t give up. Because I was surrounded by so many people who loved me. And in the end, that was the difference between life and death.
I had to be strong for them at times. They also lent me their strength on occasion. It was because of this that I was able to overcome every obstacle that life threw my way.
And as a result, I emerged stronger in the end.

The day was bright with sunshine, and I stepped out of my door after a light meal of macaroni and cheese. It was a cold November evening, and I was riding my bike and crossing the road, full of thoughts about how I would achieve my goals at such a young age and which opportunities I would have to pass up. I’m sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Saad, and I’m a doctor who recently completed his MBBS and is now moving on to the next stage of his career… I was thinking about how successful I was in my career when I was suddenly hit by something and unconsciously laying on the road. After a while, when I opened my eyes and tried to stand up and assess the situation, something passed over my foot, and I was unconsciously fainted again and fell down on the road. When I awoke after an hour, I assessed the situation: first, I was hit by an auto-rickshaw, which resulted in minor injuries; second, a car crossed over my foot, resulting in severe injuries and extreme pain.

Life is unpredictable… We never know what will happen in the following second. Which second of time led us to where we are now? We make assumptions and create our own life scenarios, but God has a different plan for us; sometimes, he simply hits us with a pebble to save us from the stone, but we never grasp this unless we witness it with our own eyes, as I did…..
When I get first aid, I feel a lot of agonies, and my blood pressure drops, and I hear the doctors have referred me to a specialist hospital for this treatment, which means I could have some major injuries… “Take him to a specialist,” the doctor advised my father. “We conducted some first aid therapy for now, but this should be handled by professional doctors. Take him to them.” My father responded with tears in his eyes, “Is everything good with him?” The doctor tries to make him feel better, but he fails miserably…

You should always be able to regulate your emotions. Your emotions were guarded. Because if you feel too much, it will ruin your health…..
I blink my eyes, and there she is, my Fiancée Mehwish, emerging from the entrance door. She is also a doctor, which bodes well for my future. She dashes towards me out of nowhere. “Doctor, is he all right?” Alternatively, he can receive the first aid.” “Yes, Dr. Mehwish!” said the doctor. For the time being, he is fine; nevertheless, we are referring him to a specialized doctor for future treatment.” She said okay in hushed tones and turned to face me as if she wanted to gauge the pain with my facial expression, “How’d I feel?” I smiled at her, but it evaporated as soon as Dr. Analyze my foot to see how bad the injury was…

Pain is an unavoidable part of life. That realization dawned on me far too late. For the majority of my life, I believed that if I just worked hard and stayed focused on the correct path, I would be able to live the life I want. I wasn’t so arrogant as to believe I deserved something lavish and extravagant. But I was pleased with my lot in life.
When my family drove me to the hospital, the ambulance become out of order along the way, and I was bleeding profusely. We were waiting for a new ambulance in the middle of the road, with my face toward the setting sun, the sunset, and I believe it was the last sunset I would ever see on this planet. I felt like my life was winding down just like the sunset. I felt hopeless at the time; my foot was bleeding profusely, and I was constantly watching the sunset, thinking to myself, “Perhaps like this red pink sunset, my dark crimson bloody ambulance, this is my final destination, and after this evening, the people will be talking stories about me…” How I was born, and how my death came to take me away…
Every day, people come and leave in our lives. Some people stay, while others fade away. Because that is what life is all about. We would have lived our lives in regret if we had stayed and mourned over every lost item. In little doses, with no genuine thrills.

As soon as I arrived at the hospital, I was operated on, and I was unwittingly lying on the bed when I realized I had a crush injury on my right foot, three metatarsal fractures, and one extensor digitorum tender injury. For the time being, doctors have operated and fixed my foot with rods, which will take several months to heal. Until then, I am unable to walk or run….
The drip… drip… drip of the IV attached to my arm.
It was all like something out of a hazy nightmare. I didn’t have any sensations. Inside of me, there was a bottomless hole where my emotions would generally rage.
Was this how it was supposed to end? Was this how you felt as you took your last steps before death grabbed you?
Perhaps life teaches us something new every day. Perhaps we’re mistaken. Perhaps it teaches us something at every turn. If you’re ready to fall, here is the place to be. Look around you; someone is always next to you or behind you. I’m all set to catch you. In the blink of an eye, you connect with everything and everyone around you.
Every breath you take is calculated in advance….

This is heartbreak for everyone else who enjoys walking and does not want to rely on others; suddenly, I think about individuals who lose a foot or anything else and become handicapped, never being able to walk, communicate, or use their hands for the rest of their life, and I wonder how they will cope. So all I have to do is express gratitude to my God and be humble enough to recognize that I have all of my senses and can use them to live a tranquil existence. With this sadness, I opened my eyes and saw my family and my Lifeline, “My Fiancé,” with a faint grin on her face; I smiled back, knowing that everyone was there for me through my difficult time.
It is, after all, the past. I’m no longer in its grasp. I am grateful that I have been given a second chance in life to pursue my aspirations and live a life full of hope and joy because this is my second chance, and the incident was merely a miserable incident of my life… or, more accurately,,, my new life…
